Sungai Watch

Sungai Watch is an environmental nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Indonesia’s rivers, oceans, and communities from plastic pollution. Founded in Bali in 2020, the organization develops and installs simple yet effective river barriers that prevent plastic waste from reaching the ocean, while collecting data to better understand and address the sources of pollution.

Working closely with local communities, governments, businesses, and environmental partners, Sungai Watch combines direct action with education, research, and advocacy to create long-term solutions for waste management and environmental protection.
